I’m trying to increase my PC’s refresh rate beyond 60Hz to match my TV’s supposed capability of 100Hz. However, every time I set the refresh rate higher than 60Hz, my PC loses connection to the TV. I’m using an OEHLBACH Black Magic MKII Ultra High Speed 8K HDMI cable. Could this be a cable issue or something else? Happy to share any system specs needed to diagnose this.

It’s possible that your HDMI cable might be the bottleneck even if it’s rated high. Some cables don’t fully meet the specs they claim, or the devices on either end might not negotiate the higher bandwidth properly. Also, make sure your PC’s graphics card actually supports output at 100Hz over that connection and resolution. Try testing with a different certified 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 cable if possible.
Thanks, I’ll try swapping cables and double-checking the graphics card capabilities.
