My PC was shutting down unexpectedly while I was trying to launch games. I replaced the Power Supply Unit (PSU), and for a week, everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, the problem has returned. I can’t afford to ask my parents for any new parts after convincing them to get a new PSU. What could be causing this issue?

Have you checked your CPU temperatures? When you start a game, it can push your CPU hard, potentially causing it to overheat and shut down your PC. It might have seemed okay after you got the new PSU because you inadvertently cleaned the CPU fan or left the side panel open. I recommend trying CoreTemp—it’s a simple tool that’ll help you monitor your CPU temps. Load it up with something like Cinebench and see how hot it gets.

I do use CoreTemp, and sometimes it runs the game fine, but other times it just shuts down before even getting in.
