I’m building a new PC and am facing a frustrating issue. Every time I try to install Windows, the installation freezes at various points—like 85%, 89%, or 95%. I’ve already tried several USB drives and different Windows versions (both 10 and 11), but the problem persists. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
– Swapped in a new 1TB PNY CS2241 NVMe SSD.
– Used just one stick of RAM from my T-Force DDR4 set.
– Replaced my power supply with a Corsair RM750e.
– I’ve set the BIOS to AHCI, disabled XMP, and loaded optimized defaults.
– The SSD was fully formatted and cleaned before the install attempts.
– Everything seems to be running cool, and the BIOS doesn’t freeze when it’s idle.
Here are my specs:
– CPU: Ryzen 7 5700G
– Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
– RAM: TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan Z 16GB (2×8) DDR4 3000MHz
– PSU: Corsair RM750e
– Monitor: Acer Vero V227Q 21.5″ FHD IPS 100Hz
– GPU: Using the integrated GPU for now.
I’m stuck trying to figure out whether this is a motherboard issue or something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a memory issue since you’ve already swapped out a lot of components. Have you tried using a different stick of RAM or changing slots? Sometimes, motherboards can be picky with memory. Also, make sure your RAM is properly seated in their slots! Let me know how it goes.
Yeah, memory issues could definitely be the culprit. If possible, run a memory test using something like MemTest86. It can help pinpoint if there’s a fault with your RAM. It’s also worth double-checking your BIOS settings to ensure everything’s set up correctly. You’ve got some solid components, so it should work!
