I just had a game against Yorick and it blew my mind that you have to hit each of his Mist Walkers twice to take them down—he can spawn up to four of them at once! That’s a total of eight auto attacks to clear his pets, not even counting any damage to Yorick himself. For champions that lack AoE or quick attack speeds, this feels super punishing. He seems to get tons of free lane pressure and deadly split-push potential without any real counterplay available unless you’re a wave-clearing machine. Is this really balanced, or am I missing something here? Also, why does it take four hits to escape his cage, and it lasts three to five seconds? Is that even fair?

Yeah, it’s rough! Not only do you need a ton of hits just to clear his ghouls, but they also have that annoying AoE resistance, so even abilities can struggle to take them down. Plus, if you’re not a melee champ, it just gets even worse for you! Just be careful not to get locked down by his cage while trying to deal with them.
Honestly, Yorick just punishes you for trying to engage. If you deal with his ghouls, he just spawns more, and you’re back at square one. It’s annoying!
Honestly, the ghouls get these wild bonuses from Yorick’s health, which makes them take forever to kill. Plus, let’s not forget new players can get stomped by him just because they don’t understand how to handle the wall and the Mist Walkers effectively.
Right?! It definitely feels like a trap if you’re not prepared. And then there’s the wall too! So many players underestimate how disruptive that is.
Totally! I’ve seen supports get completely wrecked by them because they don’t have the tools to handle Yorick’s kit.
It’s all about how you play your champ too! Ranged champs have a hard time dealing with him, especially if they don’t have any AoE spells to counter his ghouls. Honestly, if you play something with good stats and abilities to handle split-pushing, you can manage him.
For sure! My experience is similar. Stick to champions that can out-sustain him or have ways to duel him without dealing with ghouls.
Yep! I do fine against him playing a melee champion, but range champs feel the burn, especially because certain ADCs can’t deal with his minions at all!
Man, it’s totally a skill issue if you don’t know how to play against him! But really, fighting Yorick can be so dull. You’ll spend more time avoiding his ghouls than fighting him. Boots first and constant movement help, but it’s a slog. You gotta wait for him to make a mistake, which is like watching paint dry.
Yeah, it’s frustrating. You end up having to play super safe, just waiting for him to mess up. Not every champ can manage him well.
Exactly my experience! Just feels like you’re being punished for trying to fight back.
Exactly! I’ve been there too, trying to deal damage while the ghouls chomp away at my health. Just make sure you’ve got some AoE or quick attacks to manage them better.
