Hey everyone! I wanted to share an issue I’ve been experiencing with BeamNG on Linux. The game is currently in development for a native Linux client, but you need to use Proton for the download. After downloading, I can run the game natively, but here’s the catch: it works perfectly when I start it from the terminal (it’s DRM-free), but when I try to launch it through Steam, it just doesn’t work. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I’m using the following launch command: `/mnt/WD01/Documents/Games/Steam/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/BeamNG.drive/BinLinux/BeamNG.drive.x64 %command%`

I don’t know much about BeamNG, but have you tried launching Steam itself from the terminal and then launching BeamNG from there? Sometimes that helps in getting useful logs for troubleshooting.
That’s interesting! I had a similar experience when I downloaded the game. But then I tried launching it from the terminal and it worked like a charm. It even runs using Vulkan by default! My G29 racing wheel works almost perfectly too, except it doesn’t recognize the hat switch. But overall, it’s smooth sailing from the terminal!
Glad to hear that! I was struggling to get it running, but trying it from the terminal made all the difference.
That’s a solid tip! I’ve just checked the logs, and here’s what I found: [link to log](https://pastebin.com/raw/TtJzzxSa)
