I have a big issue with the way the romance with Rosa works in KCD2. I’ve been playing RPGs for a long time, and I’m really confused about why the game would lock you out of such an important romantic option. If you don’t return the book to her straight from the castle, you lose the chance to romance her forever. It would make sense if you got locked out for not returning it at all, but even if you try to return it later, it doesn’t matter. You only have this specific window to act while juggling a main mission that feels urgent, which makes it tough. I’m a completionist too, so I usually do all the side quests before the main ones. I never would have missed this if it didn’t coincide with another time-sensitive quest! This has really impacted my enjoyment of what was otherwise a perfect game experience, especially since I’m at the point where I reunite with Rosa and it feels off now. Sorry for the rant, I know my English isn’t perfect!

I feel you! I missed her romance too, but my Henry is all about Hans this time around! 😂 I’m planning for my next playthrough to be a total womanizer and plan to get it right this time! It’s all about learning from your mistakes, right?
I get where you’re coming from. It’s definitely a bummer to get locked out of a romance because of a timing issue. But hey, now you know for your next playthrough, right? I still think it’s a bit harsh to judge the game based on one romance timing. Sometimes characters in games need that urgency to feel real, even if it can be frustrating!
Honestly, missing a romance shouldn’t ruin a 10/10 experience in my book. You’ve got all the gameplay and story elements nailed down. Now you have an excuse to jump back in and play the game again! I’m on a mission for 100% evil routing on my next run, so maybe I’ll mess up the romance too!
Haha, good luck with that! Just be ready for a big time sink with Oblivion and Expedition dropping around the same time. It’ll be wild!
Rosa’s romance definitely feels like a right place, right time kinda deal. It’s a hectic story, but I managed to get the book back to her without issues. The character interaction was solid, and I enjoyed the buildup. Sometimes, timing is crucial, which made it feel more authentic!
Totally! But I think the disappearing act after that main quest is a little extreme. I mean, they could let you give the book back later without locking you out of the romance completely. I still love the game, though—just wish it was more forgiving!
