I’m curious about the decision to charge for downloading cloud saves on PlayStation. I stopped my PS Plus subscription back in 2020, mainly because I spend more time on other platforms, but I still fire up PlayStation games occasionally. Every now and then, I have to pay $10 just to retrieve old saves, which feels really frustrating. I’ve even tried downloading all my PS4/PS5 saves onto my PS5 Pro, but I still run into issues, especially if the game isn’t currently on my SSD. Other platforms like Xbox and Steam offer free cloud saves without a hitch, letting me pick up right where I left off—even with games from years back. It really seems like PlayStation is punishing us with extra fees for features that should be standard. Why does it have to be this way when other services offer it for free?

Totally agree! It’s pretty shocking when you see how Xbox and Steam do it for free. Honestly, it just makes the whole experience feel less user-friendly on PlayStation.
