I’ve noticed that after every expansion, all the effort put into making those old raids just goes to waste. Once the new content launches, it seems like the only purpose for those raids is farming for gear appearances. With level scaling being a thing now, wouldn’t it make sense to allow us to queue for the old raids based on our time-walking preferences?

I agree, it would be great if they offered a story mode for old raids as a leveling option, but the amount of work to recreate that experience might be massive. It’d definitely shake things up a bit for leveling, though!
Leveling through raids could be an awesome alternative, but typically the devs only support dungeons as a means to level up. I find that a bit silly, especially considering that dungeons are just as outdated as those raids. Plus, letting players run old raids in a more accessible way—like with two bosses at a time—would be way more appealing for newer players who don’t want to assemble a full group just to tackle older content.
Honestly, it’s tough to see many players hopping back into Molten Core or Trial of the Crusader these days. I get that there’s nostalgia, but queue times would likely be pretty rough if we had to wait for like 15 people to sign up for those old raids. It makes you wonder if it’d be worth it at all.
