Hey fellow gamers! I’ve recently got a Steam account to check out workshop maps, but I’ve noticed that even after copying all the settings from my Epic Games account, the controls on Steam just feel smoother and more responsive. It’s like I have so much better control over my inputs on Steam! I’m wondering if there’s a difference in how these platforms handle settings, like maybe Epic’s “steering sensitivity” isn’t actually the same as Steam’s. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you have any tips on how to make my Epic version feel more like Steam? I’d really appreciate any insights! :)

Honestly, I totally get where you’re coming from! I’m convinced that the Epic Games version runs smoother than Steam, even if I can’t prove it. But yeah, the controls just seem way better on Steam for me, too!
I noticed the same thing! I had to adjust my FOV settings a lot before I felt fast again. Have you checked if the FOV values are different between the two platforms?
It sounds like the difference might be coming from the controller input settings on Steam. You can tweak deadzones in the Steam controller settings which Epic Games doesn’t allow. Try playing around with those settings on Steam – it could help with the smoother feel you’re getting!
I usually keep that option turned off to avoid any controller inconsistencies, but it still feels different for me!
Yeah, it’s wild how many people feel the need to create alt accounts for these games. Everyone seems to feel this difference, but sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint. It could just be a placebo effect, honestly. But if so many people are noticing it, there might be something behind it!
Just a heads up – even though it’s not conventional, you can still access workshop maps on Epic Games if you use certain loaders!
I feel the opposite though; on Epic, my game tends to look blurrier with the same settings and the inputs feel a bit off.
