I’m really not thrilled with how the game forces you to use Yatzli for dispelling illusions. For almost every other task, you can either send a specific companion to handle it or just do it yourself with various items like spells, grenades, and skills. But when it comes to illusions, you’re totally stuck unless you have Yatzli in your party. As a wizard, I find it frustrating that I can’t learn to dispel illusions myself. Anyone else feel the same way?

For sure, while it’s fun to have Yatzli’s magic, it feels a bit annoying to be forced to use her. If I want a different companion in my party, having to keep switching just to manage illusions feels tedious. It would be great if they added more flexibility to who can handle these situations.
Yeah, and it makes exploring feel limited when you have to depend on one character for specific tasks.
I totally get where you’re coming from! I wish the soul pod throwable could dispel illusions like other grenades. It feels like a missed opportunity since other types are useful outside of combat. Why not give us a way to use the soul pod for this too?
Exactly! It’s logical to think the soul pod should handle illusions since it’s got that purple theme going on.
Right? I wasted a bunch of them trying to dispel illusions too, just makes sense that they should work for that!
Honestly, one of my main gripes too! I wish they had a system like Veilguard where you can unlock companion abilities regardless of who’s in your party. It makes the experience more unique if your character can acquire those skills. It feels silly to be blocked by needing a specific character all the time.
That would be awesome; having a skill-based system would let us use whoever we wanted.
Totally! And it would also give players a sense of more agency in their party choices.
Absolutely! Just having to fast travel back and forth is such a hassle.
