Hey folks! I’m a huge League of Legends fan and I play mid lane as a Talon one-trick pony. Recently, I experienced a significant drop in my rank – I went from Diamond 1 with 50 LP to Emerald 1 with 50 LP in just a week. It’s really frustrating because I feel like I’ve lost a lot of my skill. I can’t seem to perform well anymore, and it seems like I’m always stuck with bad players and trolls in my games. Has anyone else gone through this? I’d love some advice on how to boost my game and get my LP back!

First off, take a break if you’re on a losing streak. When you drop an entire rank in such a short time, it usually means you’re tilting and playing off that frustration, which just cycles back into more losses. Step away for a bit, clear your head, and come back fresh!
I’ve been there before too. Dropped ranks when I thought I had to do it all to carry my team. Turns out, playing overaggressive and ignoring my positioning sunk me deeper. After a mental reset, I started focusing on just not dying and controlling my deaths. I actually created a mini-game for myself to either win or have the least deaths on the losing team, which helped me climb back up. It’s amazing how much that mindset shift changed my game!
Honestly, it’s tough to pinpoint exactly what’s going wrong without seeing your gameplay. I recently went through a similar slump and realized I needed coaching. I stopped playing endlessly and focused on my matchups instead. It helped to review how I was losing and gain control over my decisions. Keeping an eye on the minimap was crucial too; when you’re tilted, it’s easy to miss important game info.
That’s a smart idea! Focusing on minimizing deaths puts less pressure on you to carry every game.
