Why Did My PS5 Turn Itself On Last Night?

I noticed something strange last night: my PS5 turned itself on while I was asleep, and then it turned off again by itself! The console was connected to my monitor, which was completely off for several hours, and it was in rest mode. Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know what might be causing it?

It’s likely that your PS5 was rebooting after a download or maybe it was installing an update while in rest mode. You might want to check the rest mode settings to see if there are downloads scheduled during that time.

If it keeps happening, maybe it’s time to let it go! Just kidding, but definitely check those settings or updates. Could be nothing spooky, just some tech quirks!

Honestly sounds kind of creepy, but it could just be that the console is getting smarter! Mine sometimes powers on because of my Fire Stick remote, so it’s possible your remote or something else triggered it too.
