I recently upgraded from a 3070 Ti to a 7900 XT because I was hoping for a nice boost in performance while playing Marvel Rivals. Most benchmarks I watched suggested I should see about a 30% increase in frame rates. I’m gaming at 1440p with the lowest settings and using FSR Performance to average around 200 FPS, which is the same as my 3070 Ti setup that used DLSS Performance but was more stable. I’m a bit confused – am I missing something? Is DLSS really that much better at managing performance compared to AMD’s setup? Any advice on what I might need to adjust?

DLSS can definitely enhance performance, but it’s also about how well the game utilizes your hardware. Have you noticed any settings that might favor the CPU too much? Tweak around and see if you can squeeze out more performance from that shiny new 7900 XT!
Have you considered bumping up your graphics settings? Lower settings might be forcing your CPU to do the heavy lifting instead of your GPU. Honestly, with that setup, you should run Marvel Rivals at 4K native and max settings without any trouble! Also, check if V-Sync is enabled; it might be holding back your FPS!
What CPU are you using? You mentioned an I5-13600, which shouldn’t be a bottleneck at low settings, so that seems fine. Just double check your RAM is running at the right speed post-reset – it should be at 3200 MHz.
Have you tried using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to clear out any remnants of your old NVIDIA drivers? Sometimes, leftover files can conflict and mess with new installs. Make sure to reinstall the AMD drivers cleanly afterwards!
I did a factory reset before installing the AMD card to remove the NVIDIA drivers, so I should be good there.
Yep, RAM is at 3200 MHz, no issues there!
