I’ve been thinking about the lack of a day-night skip feature in the new game. I really like the seasonal changes—they add to the immersion! But it seems odd that we can’t skip time in our hideouts, especially since they feel underutilized aside from restocking supplies and upgrading allies. Imagine how much cooler it would be to use our hideouts to sleep and strategize, knowing that night could sneak up on us if we don’t hurry back. I’m excited for the game, but I’m a bit skeptical about this decision by Ubisoft. All I want is a chill spot in my hideout!

One reason might be that they want to maintain the integrity of the seasonal system. If players could just skip to summer or winter, it would mess with a major game feature. They want to ensure we experience the games’ evolving challenges. I see the reasoning behind it, but I still wish we could rest up at our hideouts!
I think they’re trying to encourage players to switch characters more often, but yeah, having the option to rest in hideouts would be a nice touch. It adds a bit of realism and gives that extra utility to locations we visit.
From what I’ve heard, the developers want players to face challenges as they emerge instead of allowing them to conveniently switch to a better situation. They believe keeping the light and shadow dynamics, along with weather effects, at the forefront of gameplay is crucial. Personally, I’m okay with this approach, but I get your point about wanting a hideout where we can relax and strategically plan our next move.
