Hey fellow Sims fans, I’m really frustrated with the EA App right now! It keeps removing access to the DLCs I’ve purchased over the years through Origin or Steam. There’s even one pack, Fast Lane Stuff, that I can’t access at all and it says it’s due to ‘fraud’. But the weird part is, when I try to buy it again, it tells me I already own it! On top of that, I’m having issues with access to Pets and Showtime, even though these expansions are installed and I’ve enabled them in the launcher. Why is this happening? I’m also not facing these problems with The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, The Sims Medieval, or The Sims 4. I had similar issues with Spore, which is why I switched to GOG. Wish GOG had The Sims 3 collection too!

You’re not alone; I struggled to get my Store Content to install for ages! But after the latest update, I managed to fix it. It feels like they want us to switch to Sims 4 by keeping Sims 3 ‘unplayable.’ It’s frustrating, especially since the series started going downhill after Will Wright left the team.
It sounds like the ‘fraud’ message might be coming from purchasing packs from third-party sites like CDKeys. These gray market sites can sometimes lead to problems when they sell keys that might have been charged back, causing issues with your account with EA. If that’s the case, it’s not surprising you’re having problems accessing your content.
But if that’s true, why can’t OP just buy it again through EA? Seems a little odd.
Honestly, I’ve noticed a lot of issues with The Sims 3 on Origin, so I get your frustration. It seems like EA just doesn’t prioritize troubleshooting for older games anymore.
I get you! I’ve faced a similar issue with a digital pack. I even tried using a modded launcher to force it to show up, but it didn’t work at all for me. In the end, I had to buy the physical copy, which finally solved the problem. EA has been neglecting The Sims 3 lately, and it really sucks when they still keep selling it even though it’s broken.
Yeah, that was my issue too! I bought a pack from one of those sites and ran into similar problems.
