I’m trying to figure out why I can’t just right-click to send messages and add people to groups for trading. It feels really cumbersome to add players just to trade with them. Is there a specific reason for this design choice?

From what I’ve noticed, there is a feature that works sometimes for inviting players to trade, but it seems really inconsistent. I’m not sure what the criteria are for it to work—maybe it depends on their online status or something?
How would that even work for console players? It can’t just be a simple right-click action, right?
You actually only need to add players if they’re not in your game instance. If they are, you just hit F and choose to trade directly. But if you’re running into a lot of trades with players outside your instance, that does create a hassle. It’s like a whole process just to get a trade done!
That’s exactly my problem! Every time I want to trade, I have to go through those steps—add them, wait for the request, navigate through social options, invite them, teleport, and then request a trade. Wouldn’t it be easier to just invite to group and trade at the same time?
Honestly, it probably boils down to what they call a Minimum Viable Product. They chose to focus resources elsewhere, so implementing right-click trade might have taken too much time for not enough benefit. It’s frustrating, though!
Not sure! Maybe there’s a button combo? Perhaps it could be like hitting the X button for messages and invites? Just a guess!
