I’m trying to register the username ‘kingmustard’ but I keep getting a message saying, “We reserve the right to ban any account/alias deemed offensive.” I think it might be because of the part that resembles ‘tard’, which seems ridiculous to me. Even variations like ‘kingmustard123’ are getting blocked. Does anyone have advice on how I could reach out to them for this issue?

It sounds like the system is flagging parts of your username because of how sensitive it is to offensive words. It might be a good idea to just pick a different name, as it’s unlikely they’ll make an exception for you. It’s kind of a common issue where normal words get caught up in these filters due to the need for broad coverage against offensive names.
I guess that’s just how things are now. It’s better to find something else than get stuck on one name.
You’re probably right about ‘tard’ triggering the filter. It’s annoying, but some people have been clever in trying to bypass rules with offensive names, leading to stricter filters. If not being able to use your preferred name makes you want to skip the game, that’s a bit surprising to me. I mean, creating a different username is a lot less hassle than contacting support, right?
But ‘kingmustard’ is my go-to username everywhere! Everything else works for me.
Isn’t that called the Scunthorpe problem? That’s when perfectly fine words get blocked because of a part that sounds offensive.
