I’m having a problem with permissions while trying to move a Decky FrameGen file into the Homebrew directory on my Steam Deck. I keep getting an error message whenever I attempt to change the permissions. I even tried reinstalling Homebrew and resetting my Steam Deck to factory settings, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Have you tried changing the permissions on the Homebrew folder itself? Make sure to check the option that applies the changes to all subfolders too. Sometimes that can fix issues like this.
Sometimes you just gotta play around with it a bit. If the permissions settings aren’t sticking, maybe try using the terminal to manually adjust the permissions? That might give you better results.
Could you clarify what exactly you’re trying to do? If you’re trying to copy files to the /home/deck/homebrew directory, it should normally be okay since that folder is owned by your user. Maybe double-check the permissions on that specific folder?
