I’ve recently upgraded my PC to a Ryzen 7 7800x3d and now I’m facing an issue where Minecraft won’t launch for versions newer than 1.20. Specifically, 1.20.1 and any later versions just won’t start. Interestingly, I can still play the game on these versions through Lunar Client without any issues. I’ve tried deleting the .minecraft folder in appdataroaming and reinstalling the launcher, but that hasn’t helped. I’m using an RX 6750XT graphics card, driver version 25.3.1, and have 32GB of RAM with the latest Windows 10. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

It could be an issue with the Java version you’re using. Have you checked if you’re on the latest JDK? Sometimes, Minecraft requires specific versions to run properly, especially after updates. Try updating your Java and see if that helps!
I saw that you’re on version 8 update 441. That’s the Java Runtime, but you might want to look into the Java JDK version too. The JDK is different and may need to be updated for the newer game versions.
