I’m having trouble downloading Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 on my Xbox Series S. The game, which I redeemed through Games with Gold, has a caution symbol next to it, saying I don’t own it. Interestingly, it works just fine on the Xbox One that I’m transitioning from. How can I resolve this issue?

Another possibility is that the game isn’t showing up because there’s an error with the Xbox Live service, so try unplugging your console for a bit and restarting it. Also, sometimes resetting your internet connection can help too. If all else fails, you might want to check if you’re part of the Xbox Insiders program, as issues sometimes crop up there.
It sounds like there could be a couple of reasons for this. First, check if you have an active Game Pass subscription, like Game Pass Core or Ultimate, since that’s now required to access Games with Gold titles. If not, make sure you’re logged in with the account that actually redeemed the game originally. Sometimes, if you’re on a different account, it might give you that warning. Let me know if that helps!
Just a heads up, you definitely need to have an active Xbox Live subscription to play any games that you’ve claimed with Gold. So if your subscription lapsed or isn’t tied to the account you used to claim the game, you might run into these issues. Double-check the account details and your subscription status!
