I recently got a 5080 GPU, but I’m having trouble booting into Windows with it. Most of the time, I just get a black screen, and on rare occasions, I can see the BIOS, but it shows the wrong resolution. After the BIOS, the screen goes black and I can’t boot into Windows. However, if I use integrated graphics to boot into Windows and then switch to the 5080, it works fine until I turn off the PC. After that, I can’t boot into Windows again with the DisplayPort connected to the GPU. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I ran into the same problem recently, and I found something that worked for me! I read on a forum that enabling the “Fch spread spectrum” option in the BIOS under Advanced CPU Settings can help. It’s set to Auto by default, so changing it might do the trick. Also, updating the GPU driver to the latest version is crucial since otherwise, Windows 11 may not boot. Good luck!
I’ll give that a shot, thanks!
One thing you could try is using the integrated graphics to access your motherboard’s website and download the latest BIOS update. Installing that might help resolve the issue with the 5080.
That sounds like a good idea, but I checked the latest updates from Gigabyte, and I didn’t see anything specific about supporting the Nvidia 5000 series.
Sometimes these booting issues can be solved with a simple BIOS update. It might be worth checking to see if that’s an option.
That worked for me too! I managed to boot into Windows using the GPU for the first time.
