I’m curious why I can’t find a single Call of Duty game on PlayStation Extra or Premium. Is it due to some exclusivity issue, or is there something else going on?

They’ve released quite a few COD titles through the Essential tier over the years, like MW remastered and WW2. So while they’re not on Extra/Premium, you’ve had opportunities to grab them!
You can actually find Black Ops Cold War on there. It was made available a couple of years ago as part of the monthly games on PlayStation Plus, so it’s basically accessible as long as your subscription is active.
The whole Call of Duty franchise is technically owned by Microsoft now, which is why you can find many of the games on Xbox Game Pass. They seem to be focusing on keeping some of these titles exclusive to their service for now. I guess they see it as a way to draw more subscribers to Xbox.
That’s true! Currently, only the two latest games like Black Ops 6 and Modern Warfare III are on Game Pass, but with Microsoft’s acquisition, it’s likely they want to keep more titles exclusive for a while.
Wait, Cold War was added two years ago? I honestly thought it was just a few months back. Time really flies!
