I’ve been grinding the first encounter in the dungeon for hours and haven’t seen a single Holofoil drop. Do they only drop from the final chest? I haven’t completed the quests for the previous two dungeons—do I need to do that? I’ve also finished the regular difficulty, but I still can’t access the chests in the Spire. Am I missing something here?

Yeah, it’s definitely random. I did a couple of hours myself without a single drop. If you haven’t tried farming the final encounter, that might be where you want to focus your efforts. There might be some updates coming too, so keep an eye out!
It’s all about RNG, my friend. Those Holofoils are super rare drops! Sometimes you just have to keep running it until it happens. Don’t stress too much—just enjoy the dungeon runs and it’ll drop eventually.
From what I gather, they aren’t dropping in the Adepts yet. It’s best to wait for the bonus loot events or test out your luck with the secret boss right after the first secret chest in Ghosts of the Deep.
