I wanted to see a different perspective on the Switch 2 discussion—many people are eager to buy it at launch due to concerns about future tariffs or because they anticipate wanting it anyway. However, I’m curious why some folks are choosing to wait instead. What are your reasons for not jumping on the Switch 2 as soon as it releases?

The price is a big factor for me. I’m saving up to grab it secondhand later. New consoles have a way of dropping in price pretty quickly after launch, especially once the initial hype dies down.
Honestly, the launch chaos really puts me off. I’d rather wait until reviews come out, plus I think I might just wait until Christmas to grab it when things have settled down a bit.
I’m just not in a hurry—first console versions always have bugs that need fixing. Plus, I’m really hoping for a special edition to come out down the line. Why settle for plain black when you can have something awesome like an Animal Crossing design?
I’m also waiting for the right moment. Right now, I can’t justify spending that much for just a couple of games. I’d rather see a few more solid titles available first before dropping that cash, you know?
Exactly! I think the longer I wait, the better the selection will be.
And that’s true, we’ll probably see bundles and sales that are way better down the line.
I don’t see any must-have games available right out of the gate. I’m waiting for something that really grabs my attention before I shell out the cash. Got a ton of games in my backlog to keep me busy in the meantime!
Same here! I’m excited about the Switch 2 but I’ve already got plenty to play, so no rush for me.
I hear ya! I feel like if I bought it now, it’d just sit there gathering dust.
Totally get that! I waited for a used PS5 and it worked out really well for me.
