I’ve noticed that many players are claiming to have over 100 hours logged while still in Act 1 of the game, and I’m really curious about what I might be missing. Personally, I’m nearing the end of Act 3 and have only logged about 100 hours so far. I’ve done a fair amount of exploring and side quests, but the game keeps pushing me forward toward the finale. The maps don’t feel that large to justify those hours, and I haven’t found myself grinding much. Since I’m playing on Explorer mode, could that be affecting my playtime? I’m just eager to understand how others are stretching their gameplay so much more than I am!

There’s a lot of time spent on restructuring your inventory, character builds, and even tweaking companion interactions. Some players can spend so long trying to perfect their characters that it really adds to their playtime. If you’re not doing all that, it’s no surprise your number is lower!
Everyone plays at their own pace. Some people like to take their time and soak in every little detail, while others speed through it. Since you’re playing on Explorer mode, you’re probably not dealing with tough combat situations that might slow others down due to retries.
For reference, my first playthrough took about 150 hours since I hardly ever fast travel. Explorer mode could definitely affect your total playtime, especially if you’re not talking to every NPC or pursuing every side quest. It’s hard to say for sure without knowing your play style.
There are tons of little encounters and interactions that can really eat up your time. Many players skip talking to random animals and exploring all the hidden areas, but if you dig into everything, you can certainly rack up those hours. Whether you just want to race through or take your time enjoying the game is completely up to you—if you’re having fun, then that’s what matters!
Honestly, Act 1 doesn’t have 100 hours of required content. The ones claiming those numbers usually get caught up in restarting over and over due to wanting to redo their character builds. Since you’re on Explorer mode, it’s designed to be easier, so it’s a guarantee you won’t spend as long since the game doesn’t challenge you much.
Not necessarily true! If you’re truly savoring the game, exploring dialogue and side quests, you might end up racking up a lot of hours without feeling rushed.
I think you can definitely stretch it out by doing extra quests and managing inventory, but still, I remember clocking 100 hours in Act 1 my first go.
This is super helpful! I’m planning to explore more in my second playthrough.
