Hey everyone! I’ve been eyeing the Legion and Asus RTX 4080 laptops, but I’ve noticed that their prices haven’t dropped at all over the past three months. Can anyone explain why they’re still so expensive?

It seems like stock is running low while demand is still pretty high for the RTX 40 series laptops. Many people are searching for them, which keeps prices stable.
I think prices for anything above the 4060 will stay higher for quite a while, especially in non-first-world countries. I’m still seeing refurbished 3060 laptops from 2020 going for around $1,000!
I hope the new series drops prices a bit, but I guess we’ll see!
I recently bought a 4080 laptop for $2,199, which was a bit of a rush since I was late to the game. The 4090 models were gone by the time I decided! With the 50 series being so expensive, a lot of people are opting for the 40 series, but the production has slowed down. Better grab one soon!
Is that price in CAD or USD? Just trying to get a better idea!
Make sure to factor in tax for a realistic price comparison!
Sometimes prices do drop, but it’s mostly down to luck. I managed to snag an Acer Helios Predator 16 4080 for around £1,780, which was a steal compared to most 4070 laptops in the UK.
I’ve seen the Predator too but I’m not a huge fan of that series.
True! I wonder how the upcoming 50 series will affect prices. The 40 series has been around for a while!
