I’m curious why the PSP games in the GTA franchise are referred to as “stories.” What’s the reasoning behind that naming? Is it just a marketing thing, or does it refer to the content of the games?

They’re called stories because they focus on narratives from different characters in places like Liberty City. Think of them as side-adventures that add depth to the main games’ storylines.
I think it’s because they’re essentially side-stories that provide unique perspectives, rather than being direct sequels. They give you some background and context without affecting the main plot directly.
I wonder why we never got a GTA: San Andreas Stories set in the late ’80s with Ken Rosenberg as the focus. That would’ve been epic!
Lol, probably because it would just be about Ken freaking out over everything while on a bad trip!
Smaller side-affair spin-offs, yo! They feature minor characters from the primary games, kind of letting you explore their stories further.
It’s just a more laid-back way of saying “chronicles,” I guess. Makes it sound cooler, right?
Exactly! A prequel sets up events that happen before the original story, while side-stories run parallel and don’t change the main storyline.
