I recently noticed that both Orcs Must Die and Rivals of Aether have disappeared from my Games with Gold library. Is it possible that Xbox is erasing games that I own?

Have you tried searching for the games in the store? If it prompts you to buy them again, you’ll need to get in touch with support to prove you owned them. Games with Gold usually provide purchase receipts that should help. Also, try power cycling your console and logging back into your account. Just to clarify, Microsoft doesn’t typically remove games from your library without notice.
Could be a simple fix! Are you filtering your library? Sometimes that hides games. Try clearing all filters and see if your games reappear. It’s strange they’d disappear like that, especially if you’ve already downloaded them.
