Hey everyone! I’m experiencing some frustrating performance issues with my PC. I have a Ryzen 7 5700G along with an RTX 3070 TI and 32 GB of RAM. Despite having a solid setup, I’m facing noticeable FPS drops in games like Assassin’s Creed Origin, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Stalker 2, where my FPS can drop from 60 to 30. I can’t even handle high graphics settings in these RPGs without experiencing these drops. I’m curious if there’s something wrong with my configuration or if my processor might be holding me back more than I thought. I’ve disabled the integrated graphics to avoid conflicts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The 5700G isn’t the best out there for gaming, but it’s not completely unusable either. It should handle a lot of tasks decently.
Honestly, an upgrade to your CPU could be a good move for better performance.
Definitely keep an eye on your CPU temps! You should also ensure that features like EXPO/XMP are enabled for your RAM. Monitor your CPU and GPU utilization while gaming to see if one is maxing out. Another tip is to try playing your games in borderless windowed mode to see if that helps.
It sounds like your CPU might be bottlenecking the RTX 3070 TI, especially when playing at 1080p resolution. You might want to try running your games at 1440p if possible, as that could help with the performance. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date and check your system temperatures and power settings. Your setup isn’t bad, but it does seem a bit CPU-limited in some titles.
