I’ve been getting back into the game and noticed something strange. It seems like the gold I get from Captain’s Chests has significantly dropped. In the past, they would give me a pretty decent amount, but now I’m getting between 900 to 1,500 gold, while Sailor’s Chests are giving me more, around 1,700 to 2,500. Has there been a change that I’m not aware of, or am I just not remembering correctly?

Yeah, I’ve noticed the loot values changed too. They did a whole overhaul on voyages, and many players are still getting used to it. Just keep at it and you’ll get the hang of the new values!
It could be due to updates they’ve made to the game. If you’re recalling the Seafarer’s Chests, those are different and worth less than Sailor’s Chests. They recently revamped some of the loot, so newer chests can sometimes be more valuable than the old ones. It’s a bit confusing, I know!
Most items in the game have a random value, so you might just be hitting some lower rolls on the Captain’s Chests. They typically range from around 600 to 1,000 gold, but sometimes luck can really throw you off!
