I was in a nuclear zone wearing power armor, and the game showed I was taking about 10 radiation per second. Since I have maxed out radiation resistance and heal about 6 rads per second, I expected the radiation levels to rise slowly. But surprisingly, my radiation count didn’t go up at all and stayed at zero the whole time I was in the zone. Has anyone experienced this or know why the radiation meter wouldn’t increase despite the radiation exposure?

I think this is a visual glitch where the UI shows you getting radiation but your actual health bar doesn’t reflect it. I’ve seen cases where radiation numbers show up in the Pip-Boy but don’t actually translate into your rad count increasing, especially when you have perks or items that reduce rads rapidly.
Honestly, with power armor and max rad resistance, it’s likely the incoming radiation is just being negated as fast as it hits. So even if the game says you’re taking like 10 rads per second, your gear and perks are scrubbing it off immediately. That’s probably why your count stayed at zero.
It sounds like you might be running into a glitch. I’ve noticed some weird bugs lately where even though the game says you’re taking radiation, your rad count just doesn’t actually increase. Sometimes it feels like a server issue or a visual bug that hasn’t been fixed yet, especially around nuclear waste or nuke zones.
This has been happening since the ghoul update for me too. The radiation rate shows high, like 13 rads per second sometimes, but the actual rad accumulation doesn’t go up. Seems like a known issue at this point.
Yeah, that’s similar to what I was seeing too. The main UI showed radiation effects but no red on the health bar. They might be connected bugs.
