I just picked up a new PC with an RTX 4060 Ti and an i5 1400KF, but I’m hitting a wall at 180 FPS in games like Team Fortress 2, The Finals, War Thunder, and CS 1.6. I’m curious if there’s something I can do to push past this limit.

What’s the refresh rate of your monitor? If it’s 180Hz, then you’re actually maxed out already. A monitor with a refresh rate of 180Hz would only display that many frames, so you’re good there!
For me, 140 FPS is pretty solid, especially in shooters. Most games usually run fine for me between 80 to 100 FPS. It sounds like your system is performing well. Sometimes, you just won’t get higher than what your monitor can reflect!
Check your NVIDIA control panel. There’s a setting under 3D settings where you can max out your frame rate. If there’s a cap, try removing it or setting it to unlimited. That might help you reach higher FPS!
Yeah, my monitor’s 180Hz. I guess that’s why I’m capped!
