I’ve got a Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon 7700 XT, and 32GB of 6000MHz RAM, but I’m only hitting 60-80 FPS on Epic settings at 1080p, with the 1% lows dropping to 30-40. Lowering the graphics settings doesn’t seem to help either. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

If your GPU usage is at 99% at max settings and the FPS barely changes, it might suggest a bottleneck somewhere else. Are you monitoring your CPU usage as well? Sometimes, newer Unreal Engine 5 games can get a bit CPU-bound, which could be causing those lower FPS.
Honestly, 60-80 FPS might not seem low to everyone, but considering your specs, that’s pretty disappointing. With a 7700 XT, I’d expect better performance, especially in 1080p. The 1% lows you mentioned dropping to 30-40 are definitely noticeable and can ruin your gaming experience. High refresh rate monitors are the norm nowadays, so you might want to troubleshoot your setup. Are you sure you disabled ray tracing? That could be a major factor if you haven’t done so.
It’s possible the game isn’t fully optimized for your setup. I’ve seen others with similar hardware getting better FPS at 1440p, oddly enough. You might also want to check if there are any background processes affecting performance. Sometimes it’s as simple as not having enough resources available when you’re gaming.
When I faced similar issues on my setup (i9-14900K and 7900 XTX), I had to adjust some graphics settings. Turning off ray tracing made a significant difference for me. There’s always an option somewhere in those settings—look for global illumination or something similar that might be taxing your system. Also, check if you’re able to optimize any downscaling options.
Just throwing it out there—have you checked your drivers? Sometimes outdated drivers can cause performance drops in games. It’s always worth the trouble to update those and see if it makes the game run smoother.
