Why Am I Getting Blamed for Theft in Troskowitz?

-

I’ve been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance and I’m having a weird issue. I managed to steal some guard’s keys and loot an armory without anyone noticing. I stored the stolen items in my chest at the blacksmith’s place, but when I wake up the next day, I find out I’m being accused of robbery! How is that even possible when no one saw me and the items are stashed in another town?

Yeah, it’s all about perception. Just being in the wrong place can make you a suspect. If a guard spots you trespassing and later something goes missing, they’ll connect the dots. You don’t even need to be seen actually stealing, just being in the area when the crime occurs can do you in!

I’ve had this happen too! I looted an armory under the cover of night, and even though no one was around, I woke up with a bounty on my head later. It could just be a glitch where your previous actions catch up. Sometimes, even if the notification disappears, you’ve still got to deal with the aftermath!

Check your conspicuous rating! If you’ve been seen hanging around the area too much, even if they didn’t see the actual theft, they might still suspect you. It’s a sneaky mechanic in the game. Even if you’re in the shadows, a guard might catch a glimpse and link you to any theft that happens nearby.
