Hey everyone! My fiancé is graduating soon, and since it’s also his birthday week, I want to surprise him with an Xbox. I’m looking for some advice on which model to choose. Should I go for one with a digital drive or a disc drive? We need it mainly for occasional gaming—he loves Fallout and some online Catan-style games—and we definitely need DVD playback. I’m unsure about the storage space as well, so any insights would help!

The Series X is the way to go for disc games. It not only has a disc drive for DVDs but also supports backward compatibility for older games. If it’s outside your budget, a used Xbox One X could work, but keep in mind you might miss out on some newer titles.
If you plan to watch DVDs, definitely get the Xbox Series X with the disc drive. It’s worth the extra money for that capability! Just a heads-up, Mario Kart is a Nintendo thing, so you won’t find it on Xbox.
Exactly! It’s the classic dilemma—do you need discs or just streaming? Betting on the Series X is a safe bet!
Go with the Xbox Series X if you need that disc capability. It’s powerful and will serve you well for gaming and movie nights! Just be aware, Mario Kart is exclusive to Nintendo, so you might want to grab him a Switch for that.
Right, and with the Series X, you’ll be getting a way better performance overall. Just make sure to check availability!
