I’ve completed both quest lines and received invites to a wedding, but now I’m stuck deciding whose invite to take. Are there any significant differences in outcomes or advantages between choosing the Blacksmith or the Miller? Is one route considered better than the other?

As far as I know, choosing either option doesn’t drastically change the story. It might tweak a few minor events at the wedding, but that’s about it. I recently finished the Miller route after starting with the Blacksmith, and I thought it was a fun experience, but the core storyline remains intact.
If you go with the Miller, there’s a bonus side quest after the wedding, which can net you some extra alchemy and XP. If you’re into completionism or leveling up, I’d definitely recommend choosing the Miller. However, even if you choose the Blacksmith, you can still finish the Opus Magnum quest later on.
In terms of benefits, the Blacksmith has better sleeping arrangements, but that’s about it. If you prefer comfort, that might sway your choice a bit.
One strategy is to go with the Blacksmith until you forge the sword, then switch to the Miller’s quest line. This way, you get the best of both worlds: solid sleeping quarters and maximum experience points.
From what I gathered, the outcomes are pretty similar regardless of whom you choose. It’s mostly a matter of personal preference in terms of story. The Blacksmith’s quest is faster, which can be a plus if you’re looking to breeze through it. I started with the Miller’s path, but I didn’t enjoy the thievery aspect, so I switched to the Blacksmith’s quest. You can always explore both storylines after the wedding if you’re curious about the other one!
For me, it’s all about role-playing. Being the son of a blacksmith, it makes sense for my character to choose the Blacksmith for help with this quest!
