After acing my exams, my mom’s letting me reward myself with a new VR game! I’m torn between Battle Talent and Blade and Sorcery: Nomad. I’m a sucker for sword fights, but I’m open to different gameplay styles. Any advice on which one would be the best pick for me?

Honestly, both are a blast. However, the feeling you get in Blade and Sorcery is just visceral. It might seem a bit wild sometimes like you’re a psycho, but pulling off those epic moves is worth it. If you dig finding story elements here and there, this one’s for you.
Blade and Sorcery is all about that sandbox vibe, and the combat can get incredible! It’s more of a challenge but super satisfying once you’re used to giving the AI space. Plus, slow motion in B&S lets you do cinematic stuff that’s less feasible in Battle Talent. But hey, if you’re unsure, Battle Talent’s structured approach might win you over.
I own both games, and here are my thoughts. Blade & Sorcery’s sandbox is a blast, especially with magic, but the Crystal Hunt mode didn’t impress me much. Battle Talent has a more rigorous combat system and is a beast for workouts with its challenging fights and parkour elements. You should check out the demo if you’re playing on PCVR—it might help you decide!
I’d say go for Battle Talent if you’re into a more structured game. It’s got that traditional progression system that feels more “gamey”. Melee combat is varied, and you can feel like you’re in an anime when you’re doing cool moves against monsters.
