I’ve recently played the demo for Fantasian Neo Dimension and absolutely loved it! The mix of classic JRPG elements and fresh ideas was impressive, plus the diorama-style backgrounds gave it a unique touch. However, I’m torn between which console version to purchase: the Switch or the PS5. While I enjoy the graphics on my TV, I wonder if portability will enhance my experience—especially since I can sneak in some gaming during my commute. I’ve heard some critiques on the Switch version’s performance, including long load times and potential framerate issues. Can anyone share their experiences regarding the loading times and overall performance on both consoles? By the way, I have a standard Switch, not the OLED, but I might consider upgrading to OLED with the recent Switch 2 release. I just have a regular PS5, not a PS5 Portal.

If you’re leaning towards performance, I would suggest going with the PS5. I looked up some load times, and the PS5 does it in about 6 seconds whereas the Switch takes around 12 seconds. That can really add up when you’re battling.
I went with the Switch mainly for portability! Playing on the go is pretty sweet, and the game is nice, though I think the second part is even better.
Do you think the performance is as good on the Switch 2 as on the PS5?
I can confirm that the Switch has those long loading times and occasional frame drops. But if portability is your priority, the Switch still works well enough. However, for sheer quality, the PS5 version is definitely better.
