I’m planning to use my Steam Deck as my main device for about three months, so I need a reliable USB-C hub that can handle charging and other connections simultaneously without frying the charging port. I’ve been eyeing the uni USB-C Hub (the 8-in-1 with 4K HDMI, LAN, 100W PD, and USB 3.0), but I’m worried about durability since some hubs have damaged my ports before. What USB-C hubs do you recommend for consistent power delivery and multiple connections with the Steam Deck?

I got the Baseus 13-in-1 USB-C hub back in 2023 for my Steam Deck and it’s been fantastic. For about 45€, it offers tons of ports and reliable power delivery without issues. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an all-in-one solution.
I recommend the Ugreen 9-in-1 Steam Deck dock if you’re looking for something budget-friendly and dependable. I’ve had zero problems with it, works flawlessly every time. That said, if VRR support matters to you, the official Valve dock is the way to go, but I personally had a lot more issues with that one compared to the Ugreen dock.
For a setup that doubles as a portable gaming and work device, I recommend checking out Airsky docking station compatible with Steam Deck plus a USB 2.0 hub attached for extra ports. It lets you plug in keyboards and mice easily and I’m looking at adding a Ugreen 13-in-1 hub to connect multiple displays during work trips. It’s solid for multi-boot setups and reliable power delivery too.
I use the Ugreen 9-in-1 dock as well, but also had some problems with the official Valve dock. The Ugreen one fits perfectly with my Killswitch case and hasn’t given me a single problem since November. Highly recommend especially if you use a case.
I’ve been using the JSAUX hub and it’s been rock solid for me. No problems with charging or overheating, and it handles everything I throw at it without a hitch.
Thanks for the info! Good to know the official dock can have issues. I was leaning towards the Ugreen now.
