I’m curious about the really popular games that everyone seems to rave about but you just haven’t gotten around to playing. Personally, I haven’t dipped my toes into the Fallout series, even though it’s mentioned constantly by friends and gamers alike. I also find myself skipping over The Witcher and Mass Effect series, even with all the hype surrounding them. What are some games you feel that way about?

I feel you on that! Skyrim has been fun for me, but I think I’m a bit burnt out on vast open-world games, unfortunately.
I feel you about not playing some hyped games! Red Dead Redemption 2 grabbed my attention, but as an adult, it’s hard to dedicate the time it requires. I enjoy the story, but I can’t commit to a game that demands so much from me now. If I were younger, though, I’d dive right in!
Honestly, I’ve struggled to get into any of the souls games, like Dark Souls or Bloodborne. The frustration makes me want to Google everything to get ahead, which kind of ruins the experience for me. That said, I’ve heard Elden Ring might be worth a shot if you have the patience!
I get that! It took me a while, but giving Elden Ring a shot actually changed my perspective on Souls games. It can be very rewarding!
Elden Ring looks awesome, but I can’t shake my bad experience with Dark Souls. I hear the world is more exciting this time around, but I just can’t commit to another frustrating experience.
GoW Ragnarok and The Witcher 3 are both on my list! I finally downloaded them, but I’m hesitant about starting such long RPGs. I’ve heard The Witcher can feel pretty overwhelming.
I keep hearing about Hades, and I want to try it because everyone raves about it! Still haven’t found the time to dive in, but I’ve heard it’s a blast once you get going.
You really should! It’s an amazing experience, especially once you finish the main story!
Pretty sure I have about a million games on my wishlist that I haven’t touched yet! Just like you mentioned, with so many releases nowadays, it’s overwhelming. I just want to enjoy my limited free time without stressing about another giant RPG!
I’ve always wanted to try Chrono Trigger since everyone talks about it during retro game discussions, but I’m not super into JRPGs. It’s a classic though, so I feel a bit bad skipping it!
Big recommend here for Fallout New Vegas if you haven’t played it yet! It’s my all-time favorite, but if you’re not into older graphics, it might feel dated. Yet, it’s still an incredible game with a fantastic story!
What makes it your favorite? I’m curious about the appeal!
One game that keeps getting recommended to me is Outer Wilds. I’ve heard that the community is crazy about it, but they keep things under wraps, which makes it intriguing yet intimidating. It’s definitely a puzzle-heavy game, and while I enjoyed it, the difficulty can turn some players off. You might love it if you’re into clever problem-solving, but don’t feel pressured if it isn’t your style!
Same here! The game can feel like a second job with all the chores included. Haha, it’s just too real!
