I’m in the market for a budget-friendly GPU to upgrade my work PC that I also use for gaming! I’m currently considering the XFX Mercury 9070xt or the 5070ti. My main gaming resolution is 1440p, but I’m having a tough time deciding between the two. Any advice?

Honestly, I suggest skipping the Mercury model and looking at the Quicksilver version instead. It might not have the flashy RGB, but it undervolts really well and performs similarly to the stock version. Plus, if you’re mounting it vertically in your build, the aesthetics won’t matter much! Just make sure to research how both cards fare in the games you’re into.
Go for the AMD card and don’t second-guess yourself! I’ve been using AMD GPUs for years, like the 7600 XT in my travel PC, and they deliver solid performance. Just curious how the ray tracing and FSR has evolved since then!
If you’re planning to use the GPU mainly for work, I’d lean towards the 5070ti. It’s generally more reliable for professional applications. But if gaming is a priority too, then the 9070xt offers great performance at 1440p! Just a thought!
Actually, for work, I’m primarily using SolidWorks and some 3D printing, nothing too intense since I have another PC with an RTX 6000 for heavy simulations.
Check the prices! Sometimes it just boils down to which one is cheaper. But if cost isn’t a factor for you, just focus on the performance for your favorite games.
Yeah, I’m not worried about the price, just trying to see which of the 9070xt or 5070ti is the better choice.
I’m not interested in that model though, just sticking with the ones I mentioned.
