Hey everyone! I’m currently looking to upgrade from my 1070 Strix and am considering three graphics cards: the 3090-TI, 4080, and RX 7900XTX. My main priorities include gaming at 1440p in the coming months and also getting into streaming and video editing. Additionally, I’ll be using Blender for creating larger nature scenes as well as game assets, and I’m aware that this requires more than 16 GB of VRAM. I can get each of these cards for around $1000-$1500, sometimes even $700-$800. What do you think would be the best choice for my setup? Feel free to ask any questions!

If you’re worried about VRAM, that narrows it down to the 3090-TI and 7900XTX. But keep in mind that AMD isn’t the best choice for productivity tasks, and finding a 7900XTX might be a hassle. I’d suggest you go for a used 3090 instead; it’s a solid pick for your needs.
Honestly, if Blender is your priority, this is pretty straightforward. The 4080 significantly outperforms the others in Blender tasks according to benchmark data. If you want the best performance for your Blender projects, the 4080 is the way to go!
When it comes to Blender, Nvidia really is your best bet. The performance from AMD cards in Blender is still quite lacking compared to Nvidia, so you might want to steer clear of the 7900XTX if you’re focused on productivity.
