Hey folks, I’m in a bit of a dilemma! In my country, the 7900XTX from PowerColor costs around the same as the 9070XT—around 950€—or sometimes even less. I’m looking to dive into single-player games at 4K resolution or play shooters at 1440p with a smooth framerate. I’d be pairing either GPU with a Ryzen 7800X3D. Given this setup, which GPU would you recommend?

If you’re aiming for the best performance in raster graphics, the 7900XTX is the way to go. It also offers an extra 8GB of VRAM, which is useful for 4K gaming. On the other hand, if you’re into ray tracing or FSR 4, the 9070XT has the edge there. But honestly, considering the pricing and your gaming goals, the 7900XTX seems like a smarter choice for your situation. Just keep in mind that the MSRP for the 7900XTX was about 1000€ at launch, so you’re basically getting a decent deal at that price!
Do I really need FSR 4 if I already have solid raster performance?
