Hey everyone! I recently subscribed to PS Plus Premium to explore some games that I wouldn’t normally buy. I’m looking for recommendations from both the catalog and the classic catalog. To give you an idea of my tastes, I really love games like Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Remnant 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I also enjoy Fire Emblem-type games, but I’m open to trying out non-souls games too. I did lose interest in titles like Witcher 3 (found it a bit boring), Uncharted 4 (too many cutscenes), and RDR2 (felt slow).
Now, I’m facing a dilemma: when I find a game I enjoy, should I stick with it and finish it, or should I buy the physical version and move on to sample other games before they potentially leave the catalog? I get this sense of urgency because some games might be removed soon. For example, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, I had a blast! Should I just focus on finishing that one, or grab the physical copy and take my time later? Thanks for your thoughts!

You definitely need to check out Returnal! It’s got that challenging gameplay vibe similar to the souls games you enjoy, plus it’s super fun. Just be ready to die a lot!
Why do you think the games will be taken off in a month? That doesn’t happen often!
You might really enjoy Ghost of Tsushima! It’s open world and features awesome sword-fighting mechanics that focus on timing your attacks and dodges. Not a souls game per se, but the combat is engaging!
Have you considered My Friend Peppa Pig? It’s a fun change of pace!
Not all games leave the service in a month, just the monthly updates. Some stick around for ages. If you’re not sure about how long your subscription lasts, don’t rush it – play at your own pace unless you see a specific game is leaving soon. But if you download a game, you can keep it as long as you have it on your console and your subscription is active!
I get that they usually announce removals a month in advance, and I’m worried about missing out! For instance, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is leaving next month, so I feel pressured to play it before I lose the chance.
