I’m curious to know which games have set such a high bar for you that playing anything else just doesn’t feel the same. For me, it’s definitely ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘Detroit Become Human.’ They are absolute masterpieces, and it’s hard to find anything else that compares. What about you?

‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ took a toll on me too. It was tough getting back into other open world games after that, but ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ and ‘Witcher 3’ eventually helped me heal from it. I still feel ‘RDR2’ is a tough act to follow though!
After ‘The Last of Us Part II’, I tried ‘Control’, and I felt like it was just mechanically lacking. I guess sometimes the bar is set so high it makes it hard to enjoy other titles.
Honestly, after playing ‘Bloodborne’, I can’t play other action RPGs without comparing them to it. Its combat and atmosphere are just unmatched, and now everything else feels bland in comparison.
Same here! Other games just don’t deliver that kind of intense experience anymore.
‘Helldivers 2’ really changed my perspective on first-person shooters. I used to enjoy PvP, but now co-op shooters feel so much more fun and engaging!
I had a blast with it too! I haven’t played since they announced an update, but I’m super excited to dive back in with my friends.
Games like ‘Uncharted 4’, ‘Red Dead 2’, and ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ have ruined it for me because their graphics and attention to detail are just on another level. I try to play other games, but they just feel inferior graphically afterwards!
Totally get that. I felt the same way after TLOU; everything else paled in comparison—especially character development.
