I’ve been reminiscing about some classic games, like Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, which still feels great with smooth skating and an epic soundtrack. But then there’s the whole Bam Margera aspect, which has definitely not aged well. I’m curious—what games do you think have aged really well, and which ones have become almost unplayable over time?

I think Ocarina of Time holds up well despite some camera control issues. People love the music and atmosphere, but you can definitely feel the age during the combat and platforming segments.
Yeah, exactly! The Z-targeting in Ocarina helps, but overall, it’s tough to play without modern controls.
Brutal Legend is a fun throwback, but the controls feel a bit stiff and definitely need modernizing. Still, the concept of a metal-themed adventure game is still exciting!
Agreed! The chess-like battles were a bit of a drag, huh? Still, I love the vibe throughout the game.
Far Cry 3 still has an iconic story and Vaas is one of the best villains ever, but man, some gameplay elements really annoy me, like not being able to climb through windows and the frustrating slopes.
Mass Effect 1 is a classic for its amazing story, but the gameplay is pretty clunky and rough around the edges, especially if you compare it to ME2 and ME3. It’s wild how much the series improved!
Definitely! The jump from ME1 to ME2 is like night and day. The storytelling remained great, but the gameplay really caught up with it in the sequels.
For sure! I found KOTOR and Dragon Age Origins have similar issues—great stories but rough gameplay that really dates them.
Totally agree! The absence of dual stick controls really hits hard, especially when compared to how games like GoldenEye handled aiming and movement back in the day.
