I’m curious to hear from everyone about those game series that ended without a proper conclusion, leaving us hanging and still feeling annoyed about it. For me, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 3 and Knights of the Old Republic 3 are two that really get under my skin. What about you?

Deus Ex is definitely a top contender. Eidos created such an intriguing universe, but Square Enix dropped the ball on the reboot. The ending of Mankind Divided was particularly disappointing; there were so many unresolved plot threads, and now it feels like the series is just… over. I was really hoping for a third game to tie everything together!
Exactly! It’s like they built it up for years only to leave us on a cliff. I just want more closure on those storylines.
And don’t even get me started on Megaman Legends. We’re still waiting for a sequel after all these years! I only played it recently and I was blown away by the world-building. Now we’re just left in limbo.

Lego: The Hobbit was another letdown! It only covered the first two movies, and they promised to add The Battle of Five Armies as DLC, which never happened. Talk about an unfinished product.
I didn’t even know about that promise! How could they bail on something like that?
Right? It’s like they just abandoned it completely. Very disappointing.
Legacy of Kain is a classic example too. Even though Defiance was a worthy conclusion, the series had great potential for more titles or even a reboot. So many fans are still craving that story to continue.
Totally, I would love to see a fresh redesign of that universe with updated mechanics.

Metal Gear Solid 5 is another one that really let me down. With all the behind-the-scenes drama between Kojima and Konami, we missed out on what could’ve been a masterpiece. The game ended so abruptly, leaving us with bare-bones missions and no real resolution to the story.
That’s what happens when you have so much studio interference. It’s a shame.
