I’ve been a long-time fan of the Final Fantasy series, starting with Kingdom Hearts. While turn-based combat has always been a challenge for me, I found that I really enjoyed the battles in Final Fantasy Tactics A2 on the DS. It remains my favorite turn-based system in the franchise. I’ve only started diving into the main series recently, playing modern titles like FFXV, VII Remake, and Final Fantasy XVI, which I loved! After finishing FFVIII, I’m now close to beating FF XII, and although I’m not a big fan of its combat, the overall experience is very engaging. I’m planning to play FFX next, and I’m curious about XIII as well. However, after those, I’m unsure which Final Fantasy games are truly worth playing. Any suggestions?

You really should check out classics like FFVI, VII, IX, and X! They’re highly regarded and are considered essential experiences in the series. If you get through those, you’ll get a solid feel for what Final Fantasy is all about.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the mainline games. It’s all about what vibes with you! If you’re looking for something critically adored, definitely give FFVI and IX a shot—they’re fan favorites for a reason!
I hear you! IX’s charming story and characters make it a must-play in my book.
FFVI, FFVII, and FFX are often seen as must-plays too. You might also think about trying some of the remakes on newer consoles once you’re caught up. They’re really nice to experience!
I’ve heard rumors about a remake of IX—definitely one to keep an eye on!
Totally agree with this! IX is especially beloved, and the characters are just fantastic.
