Which Final Fantasy Game Should I Start With?

-

I’m completely new to Final Fantasy and want to dive in! I’ve heard great things about the series, particularly FF7. Can anyone recommend the best games to get started with? Are the games connected, or can I play them independently? I’m looking for guidance on where to begin this journey!

In terms of gameplay and story, **FF VII** and **FF X** are excellent entry points. Both are user-friendly for newcomers. Some players swear by **FF VI** as the best, but it may feel dated to some. If you love MMOs, **FF XIV** also has a gripping story and is very well done. Overall, you should try to play whichever game captures your interest the most!

Sounds like a plan! I’m excited to see which one I vibe with.

I recommend starting with **FF IX**. It’s a love letter to the series and offers a perfect blend of classic and modern elements. The story and characters really draw you in. You can also check out **FF X**, which is notable for its voice acting and character development. And don’t worry—while some games have sequels, each title is usually its own standalone adventure, so you can jump in wherever you like!

Choosing the best Final Fantasy game is tough since each one has its own charm, but here are some fan favorites:
– **FF VII** is hugely popular, especially with the recent remake, and it’s a great starting point. It features a compelling story and strong themes about identity and corporate greed.
– **FF VI** is often hailed as a masterpiece, with a deep story and memorable characters, but it has an old-school vibe with pixel art.
– If you prefer something more modern, try **FF XV** or **FF XIV** (the MMO) for a very immersive experience.
Just pick whichever one sounds the most appealing to you!

Thanks for the recommendations! I think I’ll give FF VII a go first.

If you want to experience the essence of the franchise, I’d suggest starting with either **FF VII** for absolute classics or **FF X** for modern gameplay. Each game has different mechanics and story styles, so it’s hard to pick a single ‘best’ one—it’s all about personal preference. And yes, they’re mostly standalone games, so no need to worry about playing them in order unless you want the nostalgia factor!
