I’m looking for advice on which Final Fantasy game is the easiest to achieve 100% completion in a single playthrough. I’m not talking about the difficulty of the game itself, but rather how achievable the various achievements and in-game completions are. Most JRPGs require multiple playthroughs because of differing choices and outcomes. I’ve heard that Final Fantasy I is probably the easiest in this respect since it’s quite straightforward, but I’d like to hear your thoughts!

Out of all the ones I’ve played, FF1 is obviously the simplest since there’s little side content. FF4 is also easy, but it takes a bit longer because of the extra quests and items you can find.
I’d say FF8 isn’t too bad either. You don’t need to grind much, so if you focus on collecting magazines and some ultimate weapons, you’re pretty set. Just be careful with missables!
Honestly, I think FF6 is also pretty straightforward for 100% completion, especially if you know what you’re doing. The side content isn’t overwhelming, just make sure to collect what you need as you go.
If you’re gunning for trophies, the original game is super easy for platinum. I went for the pixel remasters of I to V—just followed a guide and had no major issues. I haven’t tackled VI yet though, it’s on my to-do list!
FF1 is definitely up there as the easiest to 100%. There isn’t a lot of extra content to miss, so you can focus on completing the main objectives without worrying about grinding for items or encounters. Just watch out for Warmech for your bestiary, but that’s pretty much it!
I found it a bit tedious on mobile since the bestiary is in the main menu. I had to take screenshots to keep track of missing monsters, which was a hassle! But it was still manageable.
I’m also working on VI now! I think the “Master Gambler” trophy might be a bit tricky, I’m halfway through and looking for tips.
